Common Nouns and Proper Nouns
The names we give in general to persons, places, animals or things of the
same kind are called common nouns.
For example : woman, city, bag, school
The names we give to specific persons, places, animals or things are called
proper nouns.
• Proper nouns always begins with a capital letter.
For example : Mumbai, Rohit, Red Fort, Ramayan
