                                                      1. The First Jasmines

                                                           Little White Lily
                                                           Sat by a stone,
                                                        Drooping and waiting
                                                          Till the sun shone.
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                          Sunshine has fed;
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                          Is lifting her head.
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                         Drooping with pain,
                                                         Waiting and waiting
                                                          For the wet rain.
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                           Holds her cup;
                                                          Rain is fast falling
                                                           And filling it up.
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                          Smells very sweet;
                                                        On her head sunshine,
                                                           Rain at her feet.
                                                       Thanks to the sunshine,
                                                         Thanks to the rain,
                                                           Little White Lily
                                                           Is happy again.
                                                         2. A Cherry Tree
                                                   Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
                                                 Is hung with bloom along the bough,
                                                  And stands about the woodland ride
                                                     Wearing white for Easterride.
                                                 Now, of my threescore years and ten,
                                                     Twenty will not come again,
                                                 And take from seventy springs a score,
                                                     It only leaves me fifty more.
                                                  And since to look at things in bloom
                                                      Fifty springs are little room.
                                                     About the woodlands I will go
                                                   To see the cherry hung with snow.

                                                          3. Mangroves
            Mangrove trees are tall and strong. They have thick branches and breathing roots. These branches that grow downwards
            are actually roots. Mangroves have thick leaves and blind roots. These trees grow close to the sea in muddy and salty
            water. Mangrove trees are also known as ‘Halophytes’.
