32 Natural Disasters
Identify and name the Natural Disasters given below :
1. When the water from a river overflows its banks and
enters into dry land. It causes destruction and loss of
valuables and life.
2. Due to the movement of earth plates, the ground shakes,
causing loss of property and human lives.
3. Sometimes due to man-made or natural reasons there
is an unplanned and uncontrolled fire in a forest.
4. Due to an earthquake below the seabed, water crashes
into the nearly sea coasts, causing major damage to life
and property.
5. This disaster is caused by scanty rainfall causing lands
unfit for cultivation or agriculture.
6. Heavy snowfall, minus degree centigrade temperature,
and chilly winds of high speed are features of this
disaster.
7. This disaster is caused by difference of air pressure
between land and sea surfaces. Strong winds and heavy
rainfall also comes with it.
