Save the Environment

So What’s the Problem?

Earth has limited space and we make too much trash. Homes, factories, hospitals —
all create waste every day. We’re running out of space for landfills, and some trash is

hazardous (dangerous). It can harm the land, air, and water.

How You Can Help: What’s the Answer?

1. Reduce and Reuse We are! Both kids and

• Buy less and avoid extra packaging. adults can help by
creating less trash and
• Don’t use things you’ll throw away quickly disposing of it safely.

• Reuse items like bags and use rechargeable
batteries.

2. Recycle

• Recycling turns old items into new things.

• Bottles can become benches, and old paper
can become new paper.

• Always recycle paper, plastic, and cans when
you can!
