A story about a little Elephant who feels sad because he has

plain grey skin. But later he feels very happy. Let's find out
how he feels proud of his grey colour.

Today, Little Elephant wants to explore the jungle. First, he meets

Zebu Zebra. Little Elephant has never seen a zebra before. He looks

at Zebu Zebra’s stripes and then looks at his own plain skin. Little

Elephant is confused.

‘‘Excuse me,’’ Little Elephant

says, ‘‘Why are you stripy?’’

‘‘So that I can hide,’’ replies

Zebu Zebra. ‘‘When I am in

the grass, out in the plain, it

is really hard to see me.

I will show you!’’

He runs off. Little Elephant

tries to see where he

is, but Zebu Zebra has

vanished.
