                                                        1. I Wonder Why

                                                        2. Birbal’s Khichri
            Birbal had a seven year old daughter. One day, she said to him, ‘‘Father, I’ve heard so much about Emperor Akbar's
            court. Will you take me there with you tomorrow?’’ Birbal said, ‘‘Yes dear, we shall go there tomorrow morning.’’
            Next day, they went to the royal court. When Akbar saw Birbal’s daughter, he asked, ‘‘Do you know Persian?’’ The
            child replied, ‘‘Your Majesty, a little less and a little more.’’ Akbar turned to Birbal and said, ‘‘I did not understand
            what your daughter said. Can you please explain?’’ Birbal said, ‘‘Your Majesty, she means that she knows Persian a
            little less than those who know it well and a little more than those who don't know Persian.’’ Akbar was impressed
            with the child’s intelligence. He chuckled in amusement and said, ‘‘Birbal, your daughter is indeed as smart as you.
            You must be so proud of her!’’

                                                       3. Tenali’s Wisdom

            A king once asked his subjects a question. The question was, ‘‘How many crows are there in the city?’’ A man from
            the gathering immediately smiled and answered that there are twenty-one thousand, five hundred crows in the city.
            When asked how he knew the answer, the man replied, "Ask your men to count the number of crows. If there are
            more, then the relatives of the crows must be visiting them from nearby cities. If there are fewer, then the crows
            from our city must be visiting their relatives who live outside the city. Pleased with the answer, the king presented his
            subject with a pearl chain.

                                            4. Grandma’s Hugs Are Made of Love

            Step 1.    Put a few tablespoons of oil in the pan.
            Step 2.    Add half cup popcorn kernels.
            Step 3.    Turn the stove burner to medium heat.
            Step 4.    Cover the pan. Let the kernels cook.
            Step 5.    When the popping slows to 3 to 5 seconds between pops, remove the pan from the stove.
            Step 6.    Allow it to cool for a minute.
            Step 7.    Pour the popped popcorn into a bowl and add salt or butter to taste.


                                                         5. Mother’s Day
            Mother     :    Jenney, you must pick up all the dirty clothes from your bed and tidy it up.
            Jenny      :    Yes Mother! Will you then let me play with my friend?
            Mother     :    Yes.
            Jenny      :    Mother, I have done all work. Can I go now?
            Mother     :    Yes, sure. But come back soon.
            Jenny      :    Thanks mom. Bye! I love you lot.
