KASHI VISHWANATH TEMPLE in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh
One of the most sacred temples in Hinduism, the Kashi Vishwanath
Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Varanasi, one of
the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. Pilgrims visit
this temple to seek liberation (Moksha) and take a holy dip in the
nearby Ganges River. The temple’s golden spire is an iconic symbol
of spirituality.
KEDARNATH TEMPLE in Uttarakhand
Situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters in the Himalayas, Kedarnath
Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas
and a key part of the Char Dham Yatra. The temple is located in a
remote area and can only be accessed by foot or helicopter, making
the journey an extraordinary spiritual experience.
JAGANNATH TEMPLE in Puri, Odisha
Located on the shores of the Bay of Bengal, this temple is dedicated
to Lord Jagannath (a form of Krishna), along with his siblings
Balabhadra and Subhadra. The famous Rath Yatra (Chariot
Festival) takes place here annually, where the deities are carried
on massive chariots, attracting millions of pilgrims from all over
the world.
SOMNATH TEMPLE in Gujarat
Located in Prabhas Patan, near Veraval in Gujarat, Somnath
Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas
and is famous for its history, having been destroyed and rebuilt
several times over centuries. The temple stands at the edge of the
Arabian Sea, and its stunning architecture and scenic location make
it a major pilgrimage site
