Beti Bachao Beti Padhao
Launched: January 22, 2015
Objective: To address the issue of declining child
sex ratio and promote the education of girls in
India.
Key Activities: Awareness campaigns about the
importance of girls’ education, gender equality,
and preventing female foeticide.
Make in India
Launched: September 25, 2014
Objective: To encourage domestic and international
companies to manufacture products in India and promote
Indian manufacturing.
Key Activities: Policy reforms, ease of doing business, and
showcasing India as an investment hub for manufacturing.
Digital India
Launched: July 1, 2015
Objective: To transform India into a digitally empowered
society and knowledge economy.
Key Activities: Providing internet connectivity to rural
areas, promoting digital literacy, e-governance services,
and digital payments.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana
Launched: August 28, 2014
Objective: To ensure financial inclusion by providing
banking services to the unbanked population of India.
Key Activities: Opening bank accounts for all citizens,
promoting financial literacy, and enabling access to credit
and insurance.
