1. Invisible Ink
Materials: Lemon juice, A cotton swab or brush, White
paper, A heat source (like a lamp or light bulb)
Instructions:
1. Dip the cotton swab or brush in lemon juice and
write a message on the paper.
2. Allow the juice to dry completely.
3. To reveal the message, hold the paper close to a
heat source.
Explanation: The heat causes the lemon juice to oxidize
and turn brown, revealing the hidden message.
2. Volcano Eruption
Materials: Baking soda, Vinegar, Red food coloring
(optional), Dish soap (optional), A small container or bottle,
A tray or dish to contain spills
Instructions:
1. Place the small container on the tray.
2. Add baking soda to the container.
3. If using, mix a few drops of red food coloring and dish
soap with the vinegar.
4. Pour the vinegar mixture into the container with baking
soda and watch the eruption!
Explanation: The reaction between baking soda (a base) and
vinegar (an acid) creates carbon dioxide gas, which causes
the bubbling effect.
