schools and universities to raise awareness about India’s
history and future goals.

Objectives of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

l Celebrate the rich history and culture of India: AKAM aims to celebrate the diversity, achievements, and
milestones of the country in various fields.
l Create a sense of national pride: By revisiting and highlighting the sacrifices made by freedom fighters,
AKAM intends to instill a sense of pride and gratitude among citizens.
l Inspire the younger generation: AKAM focuses on engaging the youth to carry forward the vision of a
prosperous India by 2047, the 100th anniversary of independence.

l Encourage collective action: Through various campaigns and initiatives, AKAM seeks to encourage
citizens to participate in nation-building activities.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is not just a celebration of 75 years of independence, but also a time to reflect on the
journey so far and to envision a future where India continues to thrive as a strong, progressive, and inclusive
