Domain Name
The domain name is the part of the email address that comes after the @ symbol. It
specifies the location of the email server that hosts the user's account. This is typically
the name of the email service provider (like gmail.com or yahoo.com) or the company/
organization where the user works (like microsoft.com).
Components of Email Window
1. Inbox – Stores all the received emails.
2. Compose/New Mail – Option to create and send a new email.
3. To/Recipient Box – Field where you type the email address of the receiver.
4. CC (Carbon Copy) – Sends a copy of the email to additional recipients
5. BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) – Sends a copy to recipients without showing their addresses
to others.
6. Subject Line – A short heading that tells what the email is about.
7. Message Body – The main content of the email (text, images, attachments, etc.).
8. Attachments – Allows you to attach files, images, or documents with the email.
9. Send Button – Used to send the email to the recipient.
10. Drafts – Stores unsent emails that you can edit and send later.
11. Sent Mail – Stores copies of all emails you have sent.
12. Trash/Deleted Items – Keeps the emails you have deleted.
13. Spam/Junk Folder – Stores unwanted or suspicious emails.
Sign Out
"Log out" means to end access to a computer system or a website.
Logging out helps prevent other users from accessing the system and misusing your details.
"Log out" is also known as "log off", "sign off", or "sign out".
To sign out of an e-mail account, you should click your photo in the top right corner and
then click "Sign out".
Netiquette
"Netiquette" is a combination of the words "internet" and "etiquette". It is a set of rules for
acceptable online behavior, covering aspects of the internet such as e-mail, social media,
online chat, web forums, website comments, and gaming. Avoid posting provocative or
offensive comments online.
