                                             Statements and Questions


            A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense. It begins with a
            capital letter and usually ends with a full stop (.) or question mark (?).

            Statement – A sentence that gives information.

            Question – A sentence that asks for information.

            A.  Rearrange  the  words  to  form  sentences.  Add  capital  letters  and  correct

                 punctuation marks. One has been done for you.


                 1.  chair/a/girl/little off/fell                        A little girl fell off chair.


                 2.  other/The/began/kids/laugh/to

                 3.  laugh/didn’t/Betty


                 4.  Betty/It/who/fell/was/down

            B.  Read the sentences. Write ‘S’ for statements and ‘Q’ for questions. One has

                 been done for you.
