Read the story of Tenali Rama who has been known since

ages for his wit and wisdom.

The Vijayanagar Kingdom was the most famous of all the dynasties which
ruled Karnataka. Its emperor Krishna Deva Raya’s name sparkles like a star

in the galaxy of many famous rulers of Karnataka.

Krishna Deva Raya was a brave

and a powerful ruler. He was a
great administrator and at the

same time a great admirer of

art, culture and literature.
He encouraged these

forms of art.

There were eight
ministers in his court

who became famous

as Ashta Diggajas (Eight
Elephants). Tenali Rama

was one of them. Krishna

Deva Raya liked Tenali Rama

very much because Tenali was
very wise.
