9 No One Plays with
Me, Grandma!
I can read...
I can read...
Read the story of Narayan and Grandma how Grandma with
his magic show their feelings to Narayan or lessen his pain.
Narayan walked down a lonely lane with tearful eyes and started crying as
he reached his grandma’s lap.
‘‘What happened?’’ Grandma asked Narayan as she hugged him. ‘‘No one
plays with me grandma’’, cried Narayan.
"But were you not playing with your friends till yesterday evening?" asked
Grandma.
‘‘Grandma, I sit quietly and watch them play. When I ask them if I can play
with them, they laugh at me. They
say, I am very slow at spinning tops’’,
sobbed poor Narayan. "They can
spin the top on their palms, on their
arms." Narayan added.
‘‘You will also learn to spin the top on
your palms someday, my son. Just
practice with them’’. Grandma tried
to console Narayan.
‘‘No Grandma, they kick the ball very
well, they all make fun of me when
I kick the ball. They also play cricket
very well. They say I am weak.’’
