Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI):
Artificial Super Intelligence is a future concept where machines
become even smarter than human beings. This type of Al would
be able to think faster, solve problems better, and make smarter
decisions than any person. ASI could help in solving major world
problems, but it also raises questions about safety and control.
Right now, ASI is only a theory and does not exist, but many
experts are studying what it could mean for the future.
Types of Al based on Functionalities
Reactive Machines
Reactive Machines are the most basic type of AL. They can only
react to the present situation and do not have any memory or
past learning. These machines cannot learn or make decisions
beyond what they are programmed to do.
Example: IBM's Deep Blue chess computer, which could play
chess by reacting to the opponent's moves.
Limited Memory
This type of Al can use past experiences to make better
decisions. It has a small memory that helps it learn from
past data and improve over time. Most Al systems we
use today fall under this category.
Examples: Self-driving cars, chat bots, and voice
assistants like Siri or Alexa.
Theory of Mind
Al with "Theory of Mind" would be able to understand human emotions, beliefs, and
thoughts. It would interact with people more naturally, just like another human.
Example: This type of Al does not exist yet but may be possible in the future.
Self-Aware Al
This is the most advanced and futuristic type of AI. A self-aware Al would have its own
thoughts, feelings, and consciousness, just like a human. It would not only understand
others but also understand itself.
Example: This is only a concept and has not been created yet.
