Rohan set off for the bottom of the garden as fast as he could. But

the rain started again. He looked for the colours, but they were no

longer near the green willows. Rohan searched for the colours on

the ground, but he found nothing.

By now, Rohan was very wet. He ran back to his house and told his

father about his search for the colours.

His father smiled and said, ‘‘That is a rainbow. No one can collect the

colours in a large bucket or a small box. Rainbows form when the

sun shines through the raindrops. Then we see a beautiful rainbow,

but it lasts only for a few moments. We enjoy the rainbow while we

can, before it disappears.’’
