Read this diamond poem.
clouds,
soft, white,
slipping, sliding,
floating wind, water, light,
rain falling, splashing,
dancing bright,
blue sky
There are some rules we should follow while writing a diamond poem.
Line 1. : a one-word noun
Line 2. : two adjectives that describe the noun in Line 1
Line 3. : three verbs that this noun does
Line 4. : four things (nouns) that the nouns in Lines 1 and 7 have in common
Line 5. : three verbs that go with the noun in Line 7
Line 6. : two adjectives that describe the noun in Line 7
Line 7. : a one-word noun that is in some way opposite to the noun in Line 1.
Now write down your poem describing something like a tree, an animal, the
weather or a season.
