            Read these sentences.

               She was excited and tomorrow at last was Mother’s Day.

                Suddenly, she felt the card was too shabby and silly.

                Taking your mother out for a dinner treat this evening.

            The highlighted words in the above sentences are adverbs. Adverbs are of three

            kinds.

            1.     Adverbs of time : that answer the question ‘when’; tomorrow, today, soon

            2.     Adverbs of manner : that answer the question ‘how’; suddenly, excitedly,
                   happily


            3.     Adverbs of place : that answer the question ‘where’; in, out, there; inside

                 1.  Arun planted a sapling carefully.

                 2.  I shall tidy my room tomorrow.
