                                                                                    icecream

The Cool Story of Ice Cream
A long time ago, before freezers existed, world
people still loved cold treats! The idea of ice
cream came from ancient times. Around 200
BC, the Chinese made desserts by mixing rice,
milk, and snow. Even Roman emperors like
Nero sent people to the mountains to gather
snow and mix it with honey and fruits.

In the 13th century, explorer Marco Polo
returned to Italy from China with recipes for
frozen treats. These recipes inspired what
became the ice cream we know today. In the
1600s, ice cream spread across Europe. At
first, only rich people could enjoy it because
making ice cream was expensive and difficult.

                                        When Ice Cream Became Famous
In 1843, a woman named Nancy Johnson from the USA invented the
hand-cranked ice cream maker. This made it easier to make ice cream
at home. Later, in the early 20th century, factories started producing ice
cream in large amounts, making it affordable for everyone.
During World War II, ice cream became a favorite treat for American
soldiers. After the war, ice cream became popular all over the world!
