onto the slide pane.
Thumbnail Pane
The Thumbnail Pane, also known as the Slides Pane, is usually on the left side of the
screen. It shows small versions (thumbnails) of all the slides in your presentation in
order. This pane allows you to quickly navigate, rearrange, duplicate, or delete slides
as you work through your presentation.
Notes Pane
The Notes Pane appears below the Slide Pane and allows you to add speaker notes
for each slide. These notes are not visible during the presentation but can be viewed
by the presenter during a slideshow or printed as handouts. It helps presenters
remember key points they want to mention while presenting.
Status Bar
The Status Bar is located at the bottom of the PowerPoint window and provides
information such as the slide number, total number of slides, applied design theme,
and language settings. It also includes view buttons and a zoom slider, allowing users
to quickly switch between different presentation views and zoom levels.
Quick Access Toolbar
The Quick Access Toolbar is a small, customizable toolbar usually located above the
Ribbon. It contains commonly used commands like Save, Undo, Redo, and others
that the user can choose to add for convenience. This toolbar allows for faster access
to essential tools without switching tabs.
Slide Sorter View
The Slide Sorter View is a feature that displays all the slides in your presentation
in a grid format. This view helps you to easily rearrange, delete, or duplicate slides
by simply dragging and dropping. It's especially useful for organizing the flow of a
presentation before finalizing it.
Design Area (Workspace)
The Design Area refers to the central workspace where slides are edited and designed.
This is where users can add and format content like text boxes, images, shapes, and
animations. It is the main area for visual layout and creative work in PowerPoint.
