Saving Work
We must save our text in the computer for future use.
File → Save / Save As → Browse → Type File Name → Save.

Word files are saved with the extension .docx.

Always use MS Word to type letters, stories, or homework – not for games.
1. Word is a word processing program used for creating documents.
2. We can enter text in word with the help of keyboard.
3. The text must be selected before making any change in it.
4. We can change the style, size and color of the text in word.
5. We can use bold, italic or underline feature to make text dark,
slanted or underlined.
Teacher’s Note
Demonstrate the students the basic features of word (New, Save, Bold, Font,
Size and colour.
