Dragging and Dropping the Blocks

              •  Dragging means clicking on something and holding the mouse button while

                  moving it.

              •  Dropping means letting go of the mouse button to place it where you want.
            To drag and drop the blocks, follow the given steps:

              1.  Open Scratch.

              2.  Choose a block from the Blocks Palette on the left side.

              3.  Click and hold the block with your mouse.

              4.  Drag it to the middle area called the Script Area.

              5.  Drop the block by releasing the mouse button.


            Saving a Scratch Project

            After you have completed your project you must save it for future use.

            Step-1: Click on the File menu and select Save option.

            Step-2: The Save Project dialog box appears. Choose a location of your choice and
            name your file.

            Step-3: Click on the Save button. Your file is saved.


            Opening an Existing Scratch Project

            You can continue a project you were working on. After you have saved your project,

            you can open it again.
            Step-1: Click on the File tab.


            Step-2: Click on Open option. The Open Project dialog box appears.
            Step-3: Click on the file you want to open and click on the Open button.

            The selected file opens in the Scratch window.


            Exiting from Scratch

            To close or exit from Scratch, follow the given steps:

            Step-1: Click File menu.
