The Story of Doctor Dolittle is about a kind doctor named Dr. John Dolittle who
lives in a small town. He loves animals more than anything else and can even
talk to them in their own languages. His parrot, Polynesia, teaches him how to

understand animals. Soon, all the animals come to him when they are sick. Dr.
Dolittle travels to Africa with his animal friends to help cure a deadly disease
among monkeys. Along the way, he faces many adventures but never gives up.
The story shows his kindness, bravery, and love for all living creatures.

Dr. Dolittle's Mission

1. Dr. Dolittle learns how to talk to animals with the help of his parrot Polynesia.
2. He becomes a famous animal doctor and helps all sick creatures.

3. One day, he hears about a serious monkey disease in Africa.

4. He decides to travel to Africa with his animal friends.

5. On the way, he faces many challenges and adventures.
6. Finally, he cures the monkeys and saves their lives.

Discoveries of Dr. Dolittle

• Talking to Animals: His greatest discovery was that animals have their own languages,
and he could learn and understand them.

• Animal Communication: He discovered that each animal communicates differently—
birds, dogs, horses, and even fish have unique sounds.
