Creating a New Project
Follow the steps to create a new project in Scratch 3.0
1. Click on File menu.
2. Click on New option. A new project will open with
a default sprite.
Creating a New Sprite
To create your own sprite, follow the steps given below:
Step 1: Click the Paint new Sprite button in the Sprites area. The
Costume window appears which contains various Bitmap
tools to create a sprite.
Step 2: Create a sprite of your own using the Bitmap tools. The
new Sprite appears on the stage and gets added in the
Sprites area.
Adding a New Sprite
We can add a sprite to the stage by following four ways:
1. Choose new sprite from Library: This option lets you select an existing sprite from
the program's library.
2. Paint new sprite: This option allows you to create a new sprite from scratch using a
paint editor.
3. Upload sprite from file: This allows you to upload a sprite from a file on your computer.
4. New sprite from camera: This creates a random sprite on the stage.
Changing the Backdrop of the Stage
New backdrop icons are used to change the background of the stage in Scratch. You can
