            Inserting Tables in Word

In MS Word, tables are a useful tool for organizing information. They are extremely flexible,
easy to create, and simple to manipulate. A table helps to arrange data into horizontal

rows and vertical columns, which intersect to form cells.
            You can insert different types

of data into cells, such as text, Play and Learn
            numbers, and even graphics.
Tables can also be customized 1. Write a shortcut key for underlining the text-
            by changing their style, design,
and layout. They are very 2. Cell means intersection of column and row

useful for various tasks, such as True ( ) or False ( )
            presenting textual information,
comparing details, and displaying numerical data in a structured way.

You can create a table in your document in three different ways:

            1. Blank Table- You can create a blank table with a specific number of rows and columns,
and then type data directly into it.

            2. Preset Table- MS Word provides preset or built-in table templates. You can insert one
of these tables and then replace the sample text with your own data.

            3. Customized Table - You can also draw a customized table by manually controlling how
the rows and columns should appear.

            Creating a Blank Table

A blank table means you create a table with rows and columns of your choice, and then
            type data into it.
